Thermography

 Infrared Thermography

Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging camera to "see" and "measure" thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal, or infrared energy, is light that is not visible to the human eye.  It is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat. Even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit infrared.

An infralogix infrared inspection is an excellent predictive maintenance tool because it allows for the monitoring of temperatures and thermal patterns while equipment is online and running under full load. Infrared can be used on a wide variety of equipment types including both electrical and mechanical equipment and can be used to identify building envelope integrity.

Applications

Electrical Distribution/Process Control Systems

Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Systems

Steam Systems

Commercial Building Envelope Evaluations

Quality Assuarance/Commission Testing

Benefits

  • Insurance premium reductions
  • Discovery of equipment malfunctions prior to failure
  • Ensures the overall integrity of your electrical distribution systems
  • Energy savings due to a reduction in heat/energy loss
